Easy Chocolate Candy

Chocolate Candy

All you need is love and chocolate.

Chocolate dessert, chocolate candy, chocolate chocolate chocolate! We all love some kind of chocolate from time to time, and so does the world on Valentine’s day! So here’s a little something special you can share with your loved ones today.

For these cute home made edible chocolates, all you need is chocolate and a filling of your choice. I used fresh strawberries for the white chocolate and salted caramel sauce  for the dark chocolate treats.

 Ingredients:

150g  dark cooking chocolate (Dairyland)
150g  white cooking chocolate (Dairyland)
3 Fresh Strawberries (Thinly sliced)
1 1/2 Tbsp Caramel Sauce
Silicon Chocolate Moulds

Each tray makes 15 chocolates which is about 1 cup of melted chocolate (for both the white and dark)

Method:
  1. Start by chopping up the white chocolate into smaller pieces then place into a small microwave safe bowl and melt for 2 minuets in 30 sec intervals. (Stir after every 30 seconds).
  2. Once the chocolate is fully melted and smooth, use a teaspoon to fill the chocolate moulds half way up. Cool for about a minuet before adding chopped fruit or a caramel filling. Set in the fridge for a further minuet.
  3. In the meantime, melt the dark chocolate for the top layer, then pour it over the filling. Once fully covered place the chocolate candy in the fridge to set for at least 15-minuets or overnight. If there’s any left over melted chocolate save it for your breakfast pancakes or a chef’s snack.
  4. Once the chocolate candy is fully set, pop them out of their moulds and transfer to a jar or cute box to give your loved ones.

Tip: Try not to eat all the chocolate while making these or you won’t have any left to give out 😀
