Crunchy,Sweet and Healthy
I certainly wasn’t joking when I mention occasionally having dessert for breakfast. Crunchy, sweet, silky and fresh sounds like a good combination or (cheesecake). Strawberry granola parfait is a great way to load up on morning fuel that keeps you satisfied. Not only is it filling, but it tastes and looks amazing. Loaded with antioxidants, protein, and good carbohydrates, it’s certainly one to change you’re mind about store bought cereal.
So without further a do let’s have breakfast.
1 Cup Strawberries
Honey to Taste
Cinnamon spiced Granola (recipe below)
Prep and slice the banana and strawberries then simply layer up.
Start with yogurt at the bottom then a layer of granola and fruit. Repeat the process then add seeds of your choice.
2 cups Rolled oats
1Tbsp coconut oil
1/4 cup Honey (4Tbsp)
Pinch of sea salt
1 Tsp Cinnamon or Mixed Spice
On a heavy pan heat the coconut oil then add the oats, cinnamon and salt to the pan. Toast for about 1 minute stirring constantly then add the honey and toast for a further minute until golden brown.
Remove from the heat and spread out on a baking tray to cool. Once cooled place in an airtight container or food bag.
